What a Tealium consultant actually does here
Our consulting is engineering, not staff augmentation: we audit what the estate transmits at runtime, design the target architecture - data layer, event taxonomy, identity logic, connector map - and either build it or supervise the build. The deliverable is working, verifiable infrastructure plus the documentation that keeps it governed after we leave.
When teams bring us in
- Advertising platforms, analytics, and the warehouse report different totals for the same conversions.
- An implementation was licensed ambitiously and deployed partially - iQ live, AudienceStream idle.
- A migration is coming (into or out of Tealium) and nobody owns the map.
- Event naming has drifted across teams and the taxonomy no longer means anything.
- Privacy or consent requirements changed and nobody can say what actually fires where.
Engagement shapes
| Engagement | What you get |
|---|---|
| Runtime audit | Full inventory of what fires across templates and consent states; recipient map; remediation plan. Fixed scope - the usual starting point. |
| Architecture design | Data layer spec, event taxonomy, identity resolution logic, connector map - the blueprint your team or ours builds to. |
| Implementation | The build itself, in iQ, EventStream, and AudienceStream - verified at runtime before handoff. See implementation services. |
| Governance cadence | Standing review of releases, taxonomy changes, and connector additions, so the estate does not drift back. |
Independence, stated plainly
Webclat is an independent practice - not a Tealium reseller, not compensated on your license, and not affiliated with Tealium Inc. That matters twice: our platform advice is not a sales motion, and when the honest answer is that a lighter stack fits you better, we say so. The alternatives guide is written in that spirit.
House rule: every claim in our deliverables carries its evidence, and anything reasoned rather than measured is labeled as an assumption. Consulting output you cannot verify is opinion with an invoice.
